Known for its distinctive, instantly recognisable Whammy effect, the DigiTech Whammy 5 allows you to shift notes up or down in pitch using its built-in expression pedal, making it ideal for everything from dramatic dive bombs and soaring lead lines to experimental riffs and modern alternative tones.

The fifth-generation DigiTech Whammy 5 Octave Pedal introduces advanced pitch-shifting technology with both Classic and Chords modes. Classic mode recreates the familiar Whammy response for single-note playing, while Chords mode is designed to track multiple notes together, allowing you to bend full chords while maintaining a more musical, defined sound. This makes the pedal suitable for lead guitarists, rhythm players and musicians exploring more unconventional sounds.

With 10 Whammy settings, nine Harmony settings and two Detune options, the DigiTech Whammy 5 Octave Pedal offers a broad range of creative possibilities. Shift notes across multiple octaves, create harmonised guitar lines, add subtle detuning for a thicker sound or use the expression pedal for smooth, continuous pitch changes. Its versatile range of effects makes it a valuable addition to rock, metal, alternative, progressive and experimental guitar rigs.

The built-in expression pedal provides real-time control over the pitch-shifting effect, allowing you to move smoothly between pitches as you play.
